Employee Parking Permits for Downtown Businesses
The City of San Carlos is now accepting applications for the Employee Parking Permits to Downtown Businesses. The permits will be valid for a six-month period starting April 1, 2014 through September 30, 2014.
Downtown Employee Parking Facts
This program has been established to provide parking spaces for employers and employees of businesses located in the San Carlos Downtown area; specifically from San Carlos Avenue to Brittan on Laurel Street and from El Camino Real to Walnut Street.The Employee Parking Permit fee is set at $29/per permit. Permits are issued on a bi-annual basis; from April-September and October-March. The parking permits are valid in spaces specifically designated for permit parking in each of the three lots namely:
Permit parking is allowed Monday through Saturday between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, excluding holidays. Permits are issued by the City of San Carlos, Department of Public Works and are renewable at the end of a six-month term period during the months of April and October. We can not guarantee that an expiration notice will be mailed. Therefefore, we highly encourage permit holders to sign up for eNotify to ensure that you receive an email notification of when we will be accepting applications for the next six-month period.
There are a total of 91 designated parking spaces throughout the plaza lots. Please be advised that the purchase of a parking permit does not guarantee a parking space. The request application process is open to current/existing downtown business employees interested in purchasing the parking permit.
Procedure To Get A Parking Permit:

For check or credit card payment methods, mail in your application, employee verification (copy of paystub or letter from employer), check or credit card authorization form, and your permit will be mailed to you. Incomplete applications will not be processed and will cause a delay.
Credit card payment (Visa or MasterCard only) method may be faxed in to 650-595-6704. A complete application and credit card authorization forms must be received for assured processing.
We also accept cash, checks and credit card payments at City Hall. Please come to the Public Works counter. Service hours is available Monday-Friday from 9am-12pm. Make sure you have the application form already filled out and verification form with you at the time of application.

For Employer Information: For the convenience of your employees, you may submit a letter of verification that lists all of your employees wishing to purchase parking permits. It must be signed by any of the following: owner of business, manager, supervisor or self-employed. Presenting a business card will not be accepted nor considered as verification.
