Since 2008, the Public Works Department, working with the Transportation and Circulation Commission, have devoted additional resources to traffic engineering requests received from citizens.
A business process was developed in 2009, in which citizen requests are processed in the order received, and an on-call traffic engineer is used to provide a preliminary assessment of the requests. Recently, it was noted that the number of requests had grown and that the schedule for considering many of the requests was to be determined.
At their August 17, 2010 meeting, the Transportation and Circulation Committee reviewed and prioritized the outstanding traffic engineering requests. See links below for details.
