Housing Accessibility Modification (HAM) - CID's HAM program provides grants to low income disabled individuals and families for retrofitting their homes in order to make them accessible (handrails, ramps, etc.). This allows the client to remain in their current residence, thereby avoiding possible subsidies, homelessness or dislocation. We install grab bars, railings, wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, porch lifts, handheld showers and other modifications to make your home accessible and safe.
